If you are going on holiday in your tourer caravan or motorhome then a few simple tips could help to make your holiday a lot easier and enjoyable, such as:
Keep Clean – No-one wants to clean whilst on holiday or indeed stay in a muddy caravan, so keep your caravan clean by using a mat at the door of your awning or caravan to help keep dirt and mud out and by taking dirty shoes off at the door. Usually doormats are quite inexpensive and can even be cleaned.
Limit damage to your caravan – When you are driving to your destination, you may have experienced, pots and pans and your cupboard contents coming free and causing damage in your caravan or motorhome, which is quite annoying really. Try to line your cupboards with something that your items can grip onto such as carpet grip (it works!) and buy some fixing clips to hold the cupboards shut.
Lighting – take lights to use outside your caravan, to prevent you from tripping on pegs and if you use solar lights they are also very green so you will at the same time be helping the environment.
Recycle – Haven touring parks have full recycling facilities where you can take your cardboard, cans and bottles and help to be greener!
Check park facilities – Before setting off, see what activities are hosted in the Haven holiday and touring parks and see if you can bring anything to make you enjoy the activity more. For example, bring your fishing rods if you want to go fishing and it also means you won’t have to incur the hire costs of the equipment!
